Affirmations
are positive words and phrases that you repeat to yourself
on a regular basis to help you to think positively and feel
good about yourself.
Affirmations are a way of affirming what you believe to be
true, or want to be true. The more you repeat affirmations
to yourself on a daily basis, the more you believe in what
you are saying. If you affirm something negative or positive
to be true, it is true!
Affirmations are a great way to increase your self-confidence,
self-esteem and self-belief. The more you think of what you
want in your mind and affirm it through repetition, the more
chance it has of turning into something real. So, you need
to start making sure that whatever you are affirming is going
to work for you and make you feel good, successful and happy.
Put
simply… ‘Whatever
you think you are…. YOU ARE!’
Some
examples of positive affirmations:
I
love and approve of myself exactly as I am
Every day, in every way I’m getting better and better
I deserve the very best and accept it now
I am doing the best I possibly can and my best is good enough
It’s great to be me! There is only one me!
Have
a go at making a list of your own affirmations. Write down
a few right now! Then, stand in front of the mirror and say
them to yourself. Even if it feels a little odd at first,
persevere with it and it will become easier and easier. Say
your affirmations twice daily in the morning and evening and
notice the difference in yourself after just 14 days.
