Your
emotional well-being is paramount to your success in life.
If you are not well with your mind, body and spirit then you
can feel an imbalance. There are many ways to ensure your
emotional well-being is positive… Take a look at some
of the advice below to help boost your emotional well-being.
Get
Some Exercise
Daily exercise gives you a break from your mind chatter, helps
pump your heart, circulates your blood, clears toxins from
your body, charges you with energy and has many other benefits.
There are many activities you can choose from… Do walking
one day and yoga another day. Take a Tai Chi class and meet
new people. The list of possibilities is endless and all help
to revitalise your body, clear your mind and keep you healthy.
Get Spiritual
Meditate, or sit quietly, and be in the moment. Read books
that are uplifting and have positive messages. Be thankful
for your health, your home, your friends, all the joy and
happiness in your life and all the good that surrounds you.
Be Forgiving
It is time to let it go. Forgive yourself for any past mistakes
or shortcomings; forgive the child within for being afraid;
forgive the teenager that spoke words of anger; forgive the
young adult for not being a risk taker. Forgive others in
the past. Forgive your parents, your siblings and relatives.
Let go of all grudges. Forgiveness is about coming to peace
within yourself. When you are at peace with yourself, you
can be at peace with others.
Watch Your Nutrition
Listen to your body. It speaks to you about what it needs.
Feed it good nutritious food. Take a multi-vitamin supplement.
Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. Water is
also good for brain function and digestion. Most health challenges
can be reduced or eliminated with a dietary supplement and
drinking water.
Be Kind To Others and Non-judgemental
Give up judgment and blame. Speak words of encouragement to
yourself and everyone you meet. Accept everyone for who they
are and embrace their differences. Offer unconditional kindness
and support to others. Be a great listener and really listen
to people when they speak. Find ways to help others to lift
their spirits and make them smile.
Love yourself and others
Love yourself and use positive words of encouragement. Compliment
strangers and make others smile. Speak with kind words and
a loving heart.
Learn To Relax
Make sure you relax and have ‘Me’ time each day.
Life can be hectic and it is important to have time where
your mind and body can recuperate and regenerate. Stress is
a killer!
Be Present
Live in the now. The past is gone. You can never go back and
make it right. You can never re-live a life that was yesterday.
Live positively in the present moment, no matter what is occurring.
Right now is all we really have. Do not look ahead and dread
what may come. Our mind creates a lot of chatter and makes
us afraid in order to keep us safe. Tell your mind "I
am in the present and all is well”.
Enjoy Humour
Watch something funny whether it's a comedy film, a funny
clip on YouTube .... anything which makes you laugh in fact,
as laughter helps release natural endorphins which give you
the "feel-good" factor.
Enjoy Nature
Sit on the grass or next to a tree. Feel the breeze on your
face and the warmth of the sun on your body. Smile at nature,
and all her beauty… really appreciate nature. Take in
some deep breaths of fresh air.
